Grief Support

In addition to the bereavement services for the families we serve,  we provide a eight week Grief Recovery Method, hosted by Brian Magee and Lorri Penner, this program is offered three times throughout the year with the Spring Session starting April 21 at 7 PM.                                                                     We also have some helpful grief support links below:

The GRIEF Recovery method

The Grief Recovery Method® Group Program is a structured, 8-week experience which creates a safe environment in which to look at old, unhelpful beliefs about dealing with loss and to take recovery actions which lead to completion of the pain attached to bereavement. There are 3 separate 8 week sessions that take place at Martin Brothers Funeral Chapel each year, typically in the Fall, Winter and Spring. These groups are led by Grief Recovery Method Specialists and Martin Brothers’ staff, Brian Magee and Lorri Penner RSW. Brian and Lorri are trained and certified by the Grief Recovery Institute®.  Our next start date is Tuesday April 21, 2020 - 7:00 pm please join us for an Information Seminar. On Tuesday April 28, 2020 - 7:00 pm the first week of the 8 week group will begin. For more information please call us at 403-328-2361.
