Ian Zamudio

Official Obituary of

7/7/2015 - to - 27/9/2019

Ian Zamudio, beloved son of Salvador Zamudio and Diana Flores, and little brother of Sara and David Zamudio. Passed away in the embrace of family on September 27th, 2019 at the age of 4, following a 3-year battle with cancer.

Ian was born in Edmonton, AB on July 7, 2015. He was a shining, smiley, affectionate, loving, compassionate little boy. He never complained, he always showed joy for life, he could make you laugh on the hardest times, and he would try to comfort you if you were sad.

Ian was wise and good beyond his age. During his 4 years of life, he taught all those around him to smile even at the most difficult moments, that miracles do exist, that blessing are all around us, that happiness is in the little things, that a disability is the ability to make things in a more amazing way, that every single day is a treasure, that everything is better when there is unity, that where there is a will there is a way.

We learned with him that there is a perfect plan for all of us, even if it is painful and seems unfair. That everything happens for a reason and we have to make the best out of every circumstance. That the Lord takes care or everything, even if you don’t invite Him to the journey. That there will be always light after the darkest days.

Ian loved cars, big trucks, swings, music, movie nights, cellphones, snuggles, laughs and tickles. But most of all, he loved his family, he was happiest when he was home and surrounded by his favourite people.

We, his family, thank the Lord for giving us the opportunity of sharing with this little big soul, for getting to hold him and love him as much as we could.

We will love you forever our little angel!
