Margaret Wyrostok

1926 ~ 2017

With sadness, our family says goodbye to our cherished mom, grandma and great grandma. Mrs. Margaret Wyrostok of Picture Butte, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2017 at Piyami Place at the age of 91 years.

Margaret was born in Coalhurst, Alberta on August 13, 1926 to Austin and Lillian Daley. Margaret married Emil Wyrostok in 1946 and they moved to Picture Butte in the late 50’s and resided there ever since. She was very devoted to her family and husband and always made sure nobody went home hungry. Margaret was a member of the CWL for many years. In her last years, Margaret was a resident of Piyami Place, where she received exceptional care and love from both the staff and residents.

She is survived by two daughters, Cara and Marianna (Al), two sons, Dale and Bernard (Lorna); eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband, Emil Wyrostok, she was predeceased by her parents, Austin and Lillian Daley; brothers, Gerald, Lawrence and Bernard.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 6:00 to 7:00PM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4th Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00AM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery, 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta.
