Heaven became a better place on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 upon the arrival of ROBERT KENNETH WICKENHEISER.

Left to celebrate his life on earth are his children, Betty, Dale (Beverly), Mark and his beloved ""kitten"" Sarah.

He was predeceased by his parents Michael and Grace Wickenheiser; his beautiful daughter Sandra; son-in-law Rob Lloyd; his sisters Helen, Tilly, Fran, Mary, Jenny and brothers Ralph, John, and Joseph in infancy.

He was the loving grandpa of Chris, Adrian, Kerri and Kenny; great-grandpa to Shayla, Rand, Kaylee and Grace.

Bob grew up in a large family of 16 children in Masefield, Saskatchewan in 1935. He worked the family farm until 1967 at which time he moved his family to Swift Current to work as a mechanic for Ham Motors. Then in 1976 he relocated his family once again to Lethbridge where he was employed by Mountview Dodge until his retirement.

Bob was a very active man, always doing something to keep himself busy. Up until his untimely death, he was still delivering newspapers and chopping wood. He thoroughly enjoyed a bonfire at family get-togethers, but his greatest passion of all was growing prize-winning tomatoes. He became known as the tomato master by all who knew him. He had a sense of humour so witty he was often the life of any party and always had a story to tell.

Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Friday, April 16, 2010 at ST. BASIL'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 604 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Father Raul Hernandez celebrant. Cremation to follow.

Because of Bob's great love of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lethbridge Humane Society, PO Box 783, Lethbridge, AB T1J 3Z6. or to KOKA 11 Wildwood Road West, Lethbridge, AB T1K 6C2(a no kill facility for animals).
