Mr. Bryan Walkey of Lethbridge passed away with his loving wife Marlene Henry by his side at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Friday, May 12, 2023 at the age of 73 years.

In addition to his wife Marlene, stepson Jason (Crystal) Henry and step-grandson Devon.
Bryan is survived by 2 brothers, Lanny and Scott; 7 sisters, Penny, Janet, Marilynne, Sandy, Judy, Susan and Pam; and numerous nieces and nephews. Whenever he had the opportunity, he particularly liked to entertain them. Bryan was predeceased by his parents Lee and Maree (Fallwell) Walkey and brothers, George and Read.

Born in Drumheller, he grew up in Bowness before it became part of Calgary. He liked to be on the move, so he participated in a variety of sports, especially football. He also liked to drive tour buses and limos, and be a tour guide.
When Marlene retired from teaching in Hanna, Alberta, they moved to Lethbridge. They really enjoyed living in their new neighborhood. Bryan was out and about every day, interacting with the neighbors and helping them in any way he could.

Bryan’s family would like to thank the staff at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre for the care and attention that Bryan received during those last months of his life and the many small kindnesses shown by security, housekeeping, cooks, and dishwashers, etc.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, June 3, 2023 at ST AUGUSTINE’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 411 11 ST S, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Steve Bateman, officiating.
