REVEREND PETER WALKER of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Beth Walker, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the age of 81 years.

Peter was born on March 10, 1926 to Peter and Mary Walker. He served during the Second World War and received the Medals of Honour. His love of serving and leading in the community was clearly represented in his many awards. Life member of the Lions Club, Elks Club of Canada and his Citizen of the Year award from Blackfalds, AB.

Besides his loving wife Beth, Peter is survived by his children George of Lethbridge, Ted (Anita) of Calgary, Marilyn (Sid) of Edmonton, Donna (John) of Cranbrook, BC, Don (June) of Lethbridge and Joanne of Lethbridge; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Colin of Vancouver and Alex of Oliver, BC; brothers-in-law Walter (Kay) Travalia of Lethbridge, Ben (Evelyn) Herter of Coaldale and sister-in-law Vi Travalia of Lethbridge. Peter was predeceased by his parents; brothers John and Robert and brother-in-law Bill Travalia.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00PM and 8:00PM on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502 - 13 Street North, Lethbridge, with Pastor George Takashima and Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
