Ruth Voth 1921 ~ 2014 Ruth Voth went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on February 13th, 2014 at the age of 92. She was born March 15, 1921 to Isaac and Anna Penner in Herbert, SK. She attended Greenfarm School and graduated with her Grade 8 certificate. At a young age she accepted the Lord as her personal Saviour and was baptized and joined the Greenfarm MB Church. She married Jacob Voth on October 13, 1940. They farmed in Greenfarm for over 40 years and raised a family of 5 daughters and 1 son. She was involved in many church activities and loved serving others and her family. She expressed her creative spirit and talents through her sewing, quilting and various crafts which she exhibited right until her health failed. In 1981 they retired from the farm and moved to Abbotsford, BC, where they lived for 15 years before moving to Lethbridge to be closer to family. Her daily life exemplified her strong faith and commitment to the Lord and to her family. She was predeceased by her husband Jacob (2004) and her daughter Merle Carlson (2005). She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Elaine (John) Hiebert, Dianne Voth, Karen (Ron) McDonald, Verona (Eddie) Mullison, and Verlan (Sherry) Voth; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 sister; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 7:00-8:00PM., Tuesday February 18, 2014 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S., Lethbridge. A private family Interment will be held. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM., Wednesday February 19, 2014 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Rev. Tim Seim and Rev. John Hiebert officiating. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth's memory to the Palliative Care Unit, c/o St. Michael's Foundation, 1400-9th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB., T1J 4V5, or to The Gideons International in Canada.
