Called Home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, JOHANNA VOS (Van Gaalen), passed on to glory on Wednesday, August 17, 2011, at St. Therese Villa, Lethbridge, at age 85, beloved wife of the late Edward Vos.

She is survived by her children: Randy and Grace Vos, Wally and Denise Vos, Berdena and Hank Korthuis, Marlene and Siebe Bruinsma, Ellen and Albert Hummel and Jerry and Allison Vos; her 19 grandchildren; and her 30 great grandchildren.

Johanna was born and raised in the Burdett area and loved the rural life. She married Edward Vos in October, 1949, and together, they raised a family of six children on their farm.

We thank God for her years of life and her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom's greatest love, though, was for her Lord and Savior. She wanted the whole world to know of God's grace and mercy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. with viewing from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Monday, August 22, 2011, in the BURDETT CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, south of Burdett AB, with Reverend David Swinney, Officiating. Burial will follow in the Highfield Cemetery.
