It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the sudden passing away of our dear wife, mother, Oma, sister and aunt, MRS. JANET GRETA VANDE MUNT, nee Vandenberg, on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the age of 56 years.

Janet was born in Lethbridge on March 20, 1955. She married Neil on June 13, 1975 and together they bought a dairy farm north of Picture Butte where she resided until the time of passing.

Besides her loving husband Neil, she is survived by her five children and eleven grandchildren, Jeff and Carolyn (Jesse, Caitlyn, Jordan, Tyler), Ed and Everada (Travis, Daymond, Aleena, Aiden), Bryan (Britney, Stefanie), Gary and Sue Vander Waal and Jonathan and Carlina Schipper (Kaylee). She is also survived by her five sisters, nine brothers, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews and their families.

Janet was predeceased by an infant brother in 1954, a brother Henry in 1979, father-in-law Jacob in 1987, father Evert John in 2007, mother-in-law Grietje in 2008 and mother Hendrika in 2009.

An opportunity for condolences will be given between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Picture Butte.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at the NETHERLANDS REFORMED CONGREGATION, Picture Butte, with Reverend G.M. de Leeuw, officiating.

Interment to follow in the Memorial Cemetery of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation of Picture Butte.
