MR. CORNELIUS ""CASEY"" HENDRIKUS VAN EGMOND of Nobleford, beloved husband of Mrs. Janette Van Egmond, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the age of 86 years.

Casey was born in San Francisco, California on August 26, 1924 to John and Cornelia Van Egmond. He moved to the family farm north of Monarch in 1932 when his grandfather passed away. Casey married Janette Hofman in 1946 and they raised their family there. They resided on the family farm until early this year. Casey was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life and spent many hours with his sons enjoying the outdoors. He was a long time member of the Monarch Reformed Church.

Besides his loving wife Janette, Casey is survived by his four sons; Geoffrey (Colleen), Lawrence (Margaret). Jim (Sylvia) and Tim (Lynn), his grandchildren; David, Chris, Jill, Jennifer, Matthew, Bradley, Michelle, Lachlan, Landon, Liam, and six great-grandchildren, along with his sister Alice Vander Woude.

Casey was predeceased by his parents John and Cornelia, his sister Hermina, daughter-in-law Kathy, daughter Marilyn, and grandson Lloyd.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00 and 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 12, 2010 at the MONARCH REFORMED CHURCH, with Pastor Bob Derrick and Pastor Dan Sandford, officiating.

Interment to follow in the Monarch-Nobleford Cemetery.
