MR. ANTHONY DICK (TONY) STANNARD of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Joyce Stannard passed away peacefully on December 26, 2011 at the age of 84 years.

Tony was born in Outwell, England. He and Joyce, with their son, Barry came to Canada in 1957. In his early years in Canada Tony worked as an auto body mechanic in Lethbridge. Following that, he was Operational Manager for the Lethbridge and District Exhibition.

In his retirement, Tony spent his life building furniture, toys and other items for donation to LACL, Woods Homes, YWCA, Rainbow Riding and other organizations. His sport of choice was fishing with his buddy (his wife Joyce) and his family.

Besides his loving wife Joyce, Tony is survived by his son Barry (Mavis); grandchildren Katherine and Anthony (Nanda) Stannard; great granddaughter Joyce; 2 sisters Audrey and Doris; 2 brothers Jeff and Ralph of England, as well as numerous nieces nephews and their families.

Tony was predeceased by his parents William and Doris Stannard of England.

Honoring Tony's wishes there will be a private family service.

Inurnment will take place on Thursday December 29, 2011 at 2:00PM in the MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY, 1210 Scenic Drive South, Lethbridge, AB.
