NORMA CYD ST. DENNIS, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 8, 2011. She was born in Lethbridge on January 14, 1954, the youngest child of Edward & Evelyn St. Dennis.

Norma's mother passed away when she was very young and she was raised by her Aunt Hattie Mac Donald at Bow Island, where she received her early education. Following the completion of her education in Lethbridge, she tried different lines of work until establishing her own janitorial business. Her janitorial business was very successful for many years with the movie theatres being a principal contract that she undertook, until ill health forced her to close the business.

Norma faced many physical and health challenges throughout her life. As her health and mobility declined she became oxygen dependent. Despite these life challenges Norma had a positive outlook and attitude on life. She was well known for her hand painted chocolates, volunteerism with Special Olympics and The Salvation Army. Norma was a faithful and active member of her church - The Salvation Army where she participated in many of the church's outreach programs.

Norma is survived by her two brothers, Ronald (Patrice) of Rimby, Alberta and Kenneth (Betty) of Taber, Alberta as well as several nieces and nephews and many cousins. She is also survived by her dearest friend Betty Waldern and her family. Norma was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Evelyn and her sister Christine.

In celebration of Norma's life, a Funeral Service will be held AT 10:00 am on Saturday, October 15 at THE SALVATION ARMY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 1302 - 4 Avenue South, Lethbridge with Majors Brian and Edith Beveridge officiating.

Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
