MR. DALE SKIBA of Lethbridge passed away suddenly on Friday, June 13, 2008 at the age of 57 years.

Dale was born in Lethbridge on April 11, 1951 to Louis and Shirley Skiba. He attended school in Magrath and graduated from LCI in Lethbridge. He was raised on the farm in McNally and then in Welling and farmed there for many years. He then bought his own truck and drove for H&R Transport for many years then finishing with Don Needham Trucking. Christmas was always a surprise because you were not sure which truck stop he did his shopping at. Dale raced stockcars, Car #63, in the late sixties won ""D"" class championship the first year he drove. Dale liked to spend his free time with his nieces and nephews, teaching Ashley how to drive a Big Rig, getting Kenna to do his laundry and iron his shirts and supervised Eric on how to build a shed. Keagann and Dale were very close, talking often on the phone and had lived together for over 5 years. Dale leaves behind some very special friends who helped with keeping his house and yard in order, lending that special ear to hear about how his day went and which town he was going to next. He will be sadly missed by all.

Dale is survived by his sisters Diane Skiba and Shirlene (Shawn Gustum) Skiba of Lethbridge; brothers Tim Skiba of Taber and Dr. Larry (Janetta) Skiba of New Zealand; nieces Kenna (Clint) Comm of DeWinton, AB, Kelly (Jeremy) Nelson of Pincher Creek, AB and Keegann Skiba of Vancouver, BC; nephews Ashley (Kristin) Skiba of Taber, AB and Eric Skiba of Taber; step-mom Audrey Skiba of Lethbridge; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Dale was predeceased by his parents Louis and Shirley Skiba.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, with Canon Allan McCuaig officiating.
