Mary Seibert

1954 ~ 2018

With her loving husband and cherished daughter by her side, Mary peacefully passed away on Thursday, August 9th.

We will always remember her generosity, forgiveness, and devotion to her family. Mary found joy in family gatherings. Her keen perception and intuition gave her a special ability to find or create the perfect gift for those she loved. In recent years she found great happiness spending time with her precious grandchildren.

After graduating from the Galt School of Nursing in 1975, she worked as an RN at both St. Michael’s Hospital and the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. Her caring for others was evident throughout her life: volunteering in the community and nurturing her family.

She is predeceased by her father Iwan (John), dear mother Olga (Baba) Jarczak, niece Charlene Willis, and great-nephew Samuel Willis. Mary will be remembered and loved always by her husband Reid of 42 years, daughter Laurie (Jamie) Chinn, grandchildren Kennedy and Rylan, sister Candice (Allen) Willis, nephew Callen Willis, nephew Chad (Lindsay) Willis, grandnephews Declan and Emmett, sister-in-law Penny (Colm) Covenden, nephew Brook (Jacqueline) Covenden, grandniece Zoey, grandnephew Lucas, nephew Cole (Emma) Covenden, and brother in-law Chip Seibert (Jim Foesier).

Our family is grateful for the kindness and compassionate care throughout her medical journey, especially at the Coaldale Health Centre and St. Michael’s Palliative Care. To honour her request, there will be a private family service.
