Our sorrow is great with the sudden yet peaceful passing of Ezrah Slayer Christensen Schmidt on January 20th at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 25 years.

Ezrah is survived by his cherished sisters Autumn Shea (Ianto) and Nella Sorge, his stepmother and father Jacquelynn Schmidt and Dustin Schmidt, his mother Sarah Christensen, his Nana Bobbie Schmidt, his grandparents Chuck and Tony Christensen, Allison and Kevin Ridgway, Cheryl Loos, his aunts and uncles Joel Schmidt, Vanessa Cornelson (Brad), Charlie Christensen, he was close with his cousins Oliver, Drake, and Corvus Christensen, Keelan and Spencer Cornelson, Ellie and Piper Schmidt and many more close relatives he was fond of, and that loved him.

He was a passionate cannabis enthusiast, enjoying learning and discussing all things botanical, he spent much time connecting to nature and listening to the wisdom the winds carried. He was a considerate philosophist ready to engage in conversations that contained connection to deep metaphysics and what the wonders of life were all about. Gaming captivated him and he loved building characters and scenarios or strategic plans for epic teams in Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer 40k, Age of Mythologies and Empires. And if you ever had the pleasure of playing pool with him you would have been dazzled by his joyful skill and delight in a game.

Ezrah had many friends from all periods of his life, from childhood to high school and beyond. We hope to have you all join us for Ezrah’s Viewing together on January 30th, 2025 from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Martin Brothers Riverview Chapel at 610 4th St South, Lethbridge AB. There will be a Celebration of Life to follow from 3:00 pm -7:00 pm at The Nest located at 2806 - 5th Ave North.

Interment to be held in Tessier, Saskatchewan on February 1st followed by a reception for close family and friends.
