JOSEPHINE ""JOSIE"" SAMEK of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Walter Samek, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at the age of 68 years.

Josie was born in North Battleford, SK on July 4, 1938 to Fred and Mary, the 8th of 10 kids. She loved to read and entertain her grandkids by doing things like the hula in the Hawaiian Airport. Always full of the devil, loved to laugh and play cards.

Besides her loving husband Wally, Josie is survived by her daughter Michelle (Kevin Stettner) Samek; grandchildren Taylor and Drew; sisters Nel (Bill) Samek, Kathy (Frank) Oczkowski and Jean (Stan) Oczkowski; brothers Frank (Noreen) Roman, John (Ella Jean) Roman and Joe (Deb) Roman; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Josie is predeceased by her parents Fred and Mary Roman; brothers Tony and Henry Roman and sister Bernice ""Bunny"" Kunimoto.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St. South, Lethbridge, AB, with Deacon Frank Peta officiating.
