Jacob ""Jake"" Petker 1938 ~ 2013 Jacob Cornelius Petker passed away peacefully Friday, September 6, 2013 after a lengthy illness. He was born October 10, 1938 in Coaldale, AB, the youngest of seven children born to Cornelius and Margareta Petker. Jake lived and farmed in the Coaldale area all his life. He is predeceased by his parents, sisters Annie (Reimer) and Elizabeth, brother Peter, two brothers in infancy and two nieces. He is survived by brother Corny (Mary), brother-in-law Nick Reimer, sister-in-law Helen Petker, and seventeen nieces and nephews and their families. Jake will be laid to rest in the Coaldale Cemetery Mennonite Section at 10:00am on Friday, September 13, 2013. A Celebration of his life will follow at 11:00am at the Coaldale Mennonite Brethren Church, 2114 18th Street, Coaldale. He will be missed by all who knew him.
