May 23, 1929 - August 13, 2010

CHARLES GERALD MURRAY of Picture Butte passed away on August 13, 2010 at the age of 81 years at the Chinook Regional Hospital.

Chuck is survived by his loving wife Wilda; daughters Heather (Harry) Duban and their children Justin and Lindsey; Michelle (Clay) Hamdon and their children Carly and Ally; Beatrice (Brooks) Horne and their child Meah; and son Bruce (Barb) Murray and their children Alison, Derek, Monica and Kristine; brothers Lyle and Brian.

Chuck was predeceased by his parents Jack and Beatrice Murray; daughter Cindy; and his brother Jim.

Chuck was born in the Galt Hospital in Lethbridge. He was raised with his brothers on the family farm north of Picture Butte and continued farming his entire lifetime. Chuck was well versed in raising sheep, working the land, and cattle feeding. He enjoyed watching his horses race and fishing at Koocanusa Lake. Chuck was a beloved husband, loving father and grandfather, caring friend, and well respected community member who will be dearly missed.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00pm and 8:00pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Reverend Glenda Wert, officiating. A private family interment will take place prior to the funeral service.
