MR. OSCAR MUELLER of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Mrs. Violette Mueller, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2007 at the age of 92 years.
Oscar was born on the family farm 10 miles north of Warner on January 31, 1915 to Michael and Rosa Mueller. Absorbing the 3 R's wasn't exactly his first priority, but he excelled at marbles and Kick football. As time went on, Oscar worked for his father proudly driving 8 horse teams. He also used mules for pulling machinery. Oscar was fortunate enough to see the greatest changes in farm machinery and practices. He met and married the love of his life, Violette on January 30, 1947. Together they raised 4 sons and worked the family farm. Along with farming, Oscar played and coached baseball forming their family team with their own baseball diamond. Boxing, golfing, curling, playing bridge (even winning awards for his teams prowess). The grandchildren brought him great joy. He could never tell his twin granddaughters apart and the boys kept him busy watching all their sports.
Besides his loving wife Violette, Oscar is survived by his 4 sons Mike (Ardelle McDonald) of Warner, Doug (Rosey) of Warner, Len (Deanna) of Warner and Tom (Karen White) of Calgary; 6 grandchildren Christine Mueller of Lethbridge, Samantha (Ryan) Payne of High River, Kurtis (Heather) Mueller of Lethbridge, Blaine Mueller of Lethbridge, Craig Mueller of Warner and Ryan (Amber) Mueller of Lethbridge; 2 great-grandchildren Bridgette and Summer Mueller; 4 sisters Grace Nelson, Irene (Dave) Walker, Joyce Andreachuk and Ruth (Laurie) Belsher; 4 brothers Lloyd (Dorothy) Mueller, Ken (Elda) Mueller, Ray Mueller and George (Selma) Mueller; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
