CHERYL (CHORNEYKO) MOTUZ, aged 56, beloved wife of Dennis, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2012 following a courageous battle with brain cancer in Lethbridge.

Those she left behind to carry forward a piece of her in their hearts are her husband, best friend and soul mate, Dennis, daughter Alicia Motuz, son Jared Motuz, daughter Meagan (Travis) Meyer, and daughter Nikki Motuz. She is also survived by her mother, Bernice Chorneyko and brother, Brent (Heidi) Chorneyko. Cheryl was predeceased by her father, Keith Chorneyko.
Cheryl was born on June 15, 1955 in Winnipeg, meeting the love of her life while only in high school. She could not wait to spend the rest of her life with Dennis, marrying him only days after graduating on June 30, 1973.

Being a mother to her children was her greatest joy. She was completely selfless and was adored by all of her children's friends because of her giving nature. Cheryl gave countless hours to her children and was there to support them in all of their activities. She was so proud.

Throughout her life, Cheryl had many talents that she gladly shared with those around her. When she became the secretary of St. Patrick's Church, later to become All Saints Parish, she found her calling. She loved going to work every day, and shared her love and kindness with each and every person that walked through the doors of the office.

We ask you to join in the celebration of Cheryl's life with Vigil Rites (Prayers) will be held at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 18, 2012 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2045-12th Ave S, Lethbridge led by Deacon Cliff Bogdan.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Father Tim Boyle celebrant.
