LEE, our loving father passed away with his family by his side March 1, 2007 at age of 94 years. He went to join his wife Mary, his love and soul mate of nearly 71 years. He was born March 20, 1913 on the family farm near Red Deer. His parents were Charles and Frances Moschenross. They moved to the Hillsdown district from Nebraska in 1903.

As a young man he loved tennis, rugby and hockey and later became an avid curler, even competing in the Brier. Fishing and camping with his family, especially in the mountains, was a favorite pass time. He was active in senior events; lawn bowling etc. In 1988, Red Deer's 75th Birthday, he was made Citizen of the Year.

Lee was a hardworking, successful farmer with a zest for fun in each day. He embraced life with strength, courage and wisdom. Though needing to focus daily on the many tasks of farming, he always made time for family, friends, good times, music and travel. He was a good husband, dad, friend and gentleman to all who knew him.

In their later years, Lee and Mary moved to Lethbridge and made many new friends.

Lee is survived by three daughters: Betty (Harry) Afaganis of Lethbridge; Helen (Allen) Russell of Penticton, BC; Doreen (Stanley) Linneberg of Edmonton; 6 grandchildren: Alex (Rachellle) Afaganis of Camrose; Jim (Alison) Afaganis of Calgary: Ken (Anita) Russell of Penticton; Dean (Dawn) Russell of Penticton; Colin (Chrissy) Lineberg of Keswick, Ont; Kim (Wesley) Grenke of Edomonton; 12 great-grandchildren: Matthias, Alexa, Sarah, Bryce, Cody, Nicole, Krysta, Jaycob, Cassandra, Julia, Meghan and Rachel as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mary, his parents, an infant son, his sister Ethel and brothers Albert and Clarence.

A memorial service will be held for Lee and Mary at 2:00PM on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at the Southminster United Church, BUCHANAN CHAPEL, 1011 - 4 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Frank Lewis, officiating. No Flowers by Request.
