JOHN ""JACK"" DOUGLAS MOORE, beloved husband of Joan, passed away with his family at his side on Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Jack was born in Lethbridge on June 7, 1929, the only child of Oliver and Mary Moore. He was a gentle, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and the most caring husband.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 59 years, Joan; his children Pam (Lloyd) MacNaughton of Lethbridge, Randy (Lorna) of Rocky Mt. House, and Chuck (Dawn) of Kelowna; his grandchildren Shanda (Jay) Allen, Janay (Shawne) Camp, Candice (Rob) McNeil, Stephanie (Mike) Strawn, Jared (Jen), Katlin, Brett, Montana and Makena; his great-grandchildren Taylor, Payton, Addison, Gina and Brant. He was predeceased by a granddaughter Krista.

Jack grew up in Lethbridge attending Galbraith and LCI, before beginning his career with his Dad at the Central Service Station. He was a highly respected businessman who managed Moore's Esso from 1955 - 1991, when he retired. An avid fly fisherman and longtime member of the Lethbridge Country Club, he also enjoyed camping, kayaking and skiing. He loved the beauty of God's Creation and was happiest when he was in the mountains, by a river or on a lake. He shared this love with his family and friends, teaching us so many things along the way. Our annual vacation at Waterton will never be the same, we will miss you Grandpa!

Family and friends can join the family in a celebration of Jack's life at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at ST. AUGUSTINE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH HALL, 441 - 11 Street South, Lethbridge.
