It is with great sadness we announce the passing of ALAN ROY MONTGOMERY, on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the age of 46 years. Alan passed away after a valiant struggle with esophageal cancer.

Alan was predeceased by his sisters, Kellie in 2001, and Gail in 2006.

Alan is survived by his parents, Roy and Colleen of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his brother Doug (Jo-Anne), brother-in-law Willie (Leslie), his five nieces, Heather (Brian), Richelle, Mallory, Carly and Kendra, all of Calgary. He will be fondly remembered by several uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends.

Alan was born in Lethbridge, the youngest of four children. He received his education in Lethbridge, attending school at Gilbert Patterson, and LCI. He also attended the Lethbridge College where he obtained his designation as a Massage Therapist. He worked in both Lethbridge and Taber as a Registered Massage Therapist. At the time of his illness he was employed by SRI Homes.

Alan loved animals, especially dogs. Some of his happiest moments were when he was in the company of ""Tyson"" his large black German Shepherd. Alan also loved sports, especially hockey.

He loved his family, and some of his best times were at our many family gatherings.

Alan will now be reunited with his sisters Kellie and Gail.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 3, 2010 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge, with Pastor Brian Magee, officiating.

A private family interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery, Lethbridge.
