JEAN ROSE (BANACK) MESTON of Parksville, BC loving wife of Mr. Hugh Meston passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital on October 5, 2012 at the age of 63 years. Jean was born in Raymond, AB and grew up in Stirling. At the age of 15 she moved with her family to Lethbridge. She worked as a service advisor for many years in the automotive industry where she made many life long friends. She retired in 2003 and moved to Parksville, BC with Hugh to start a new chapter of her life. When Rob was young she enjoyed spending time with him at his various sporting events. Jean also enjoyed golfing at Keho Lake with the gang and in later years spending time with friends on their boat & camping on Vancouver Island. Besides her loving husband Hugh, Jean is survived by her son Rob (Debbie) of Brampton, ON; step-daughter Keltie (Heath) Vincent of Coaldale, AB; step-son Thomas Meston of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Kyle, Jasmyn, Nicholos, Victoria, Tyler and Nathan; 2 sisters Shirley Dorchak (Charles Bullis) and Grace (Barrie) Orich; 4 brothers George (Diane), Gordon (Barb), Art (Sherry) and Ray McIntosh as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Jean was predeceased by her parents Clifford & Myrtle McIntosh, first husband Danny Banack and sister in law Shelley McIntosh. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00PM and 9:00PM on Tuesday October 9, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS FUNERAL CHAPELS, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday October 10, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610- 4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB with Valerie Martell- Kostiuk, officiating.
