Mrs. Kathleen “Kay” Mercer (Nee Woodman) of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Ernest Mercer, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family at the Coaldale Health Centre, on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at the age of 93 years.

Kay was a kind and loving person with a soft voice who wore a smile on her face. She and her husband Ernie farmed together in the McNally area, later retiring to Lethbridge. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her hospitality; over the years hosting many gatherings of family and friends. She also had a sense of adventure; learning to snow-ski in her forties and fishing on the coast while at the cabin that she and Ernie built on Vancouver Island.

She enjoyed golfing with her sister-in-law, Kay Woodman and friend Lois. They also league bowled together for years and would enjoy lunch together after.

Kay is survived by her son Tyler and grandson Jason and numerous family members.

Kay is predeceased by her husband Ernest Mercer; son Wayne; her mother Amelia; father Jack Woodman; and three brothers Arthur, Bruce and David.
