GEORGINA F. McQUILLAN of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Mr. Louis McQuillan, passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the age of 92 years.

The ever-popular ""Gina"" was born in Mochrum, Scotland on 7 June 1916; educated in Yorkshire and moved back to Scotland when she was 17 where she was employed in Domestic Science in Newton Stewart. In her spare time she was an enthusiastic church and social worker. After marring Louis on Boxing Day 1939 she moved to London with him and was employed as an Aircraft Small Parts Inspector in Wembley. She suffered the loss of her first baby in 1941 due to bomb-blast. After Louis returned from army service in India their son, Alan Graham (now retired Professor of Forestry Management at the University of Montana) was born and Georgina's mother, in ill-health joined the family moved to Harrow. Georgina was invited to join the Townswomens' Guild movement with which she was to be very happily involved as member, committee, vice- and chairmen of several Guilds for nearly 30 years, most of which too she was a dedicated officer of the North Middlesex Federation of T-W Guilds where she was Vice-Chairman before moving to Canada in 1984. In Cranbrook, B.C. she an ever-popular co-coordinator of the Hospital Auxiliary. She later enjoyed working in the Boutique of the Senior Citizens' Centre, Lethbridge and the Women's Institute. She was a member of the Southminster United Church and leaves many friends and relatives in England and Scotland. She celebrated her Golden Wedding with her late husband, Louis in Mexico.

Georgina is survived by her son, Alan, and his wife MaryMinor, her grandson, Brendan, and his wife Jessie, all residing in Missoula, Montana.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 3, 2008 at MARTIN BROS. CHAPEL OF PEACE, 1210 Scenic Dr. South, Lethbridge.
