Taylor Marie Marshall-Weasel Moccasin

Official Obituary of

2/12/2001 - to - 13/2/2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Taylor Marie Marshall-Weasel Moccasin Naato’yissitsimaakii (“Holy Child Woman”), who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the tender age of 24 years, in Guelph, Ontario.

Taylor was born on December 2, 2001, to Chrissy Weasel Moccasin and Trevor Marshall.

Taylor leaves to mourn her loving parents and her sisters, Kaitlyn and Danielle (Luke); her grandparents, Raymond and Greta Many Bears; her uncles, Charles, Jermiha (Sarah), and Carl; and her cousins, Treyvon, Izaiha, Elijah, Alias, Jermiha Jr., Keysha, Cassius, and Dominic.

She is also survived by her great-uncles Stewart (Marion), Andrew Weasel Moccasin, Winston, Leonard, Warner (Debbie), Edmond, Randy (Gail), Tony (Jennifer), and Ivan Many Bears; her great-aunties Adeline, Celestine, Rosella, and Delores Many Bears; her great-great aunt Rose Marie Tail Feathers; and her great-great uncle Peter (Wanda) Weasel Head.

Taylor will be lovingly remembered by numerous relatives from the Weasel Moccasin, Twiggs, Big Swallows, Wings, Chief Body, Young Pine, Many Bears, Blood, Cross Child, and Bruised Head families.

Taylor lived an adventurous life with her family. She loved snowmobiling, skiing, and travelling to places such as Italy, Paris, Amsterdam, Mexico, and London, England. She also enjoyed her time in Las Vegas, even though she was not old enough to gamble.

Taylor cherished spending time with her Grandpa and Grandma, learning the traditional ways of life. She often spoke about picking sweetgrass, sage, red tea, and mint in their special gathering spots. Taylor helped her grandparents make hand drums, rattles, and bracelets, and Grandma will forever treasure the pincushion Taylor made for her. She also helped keep camp at Aokokatsin, assisting with cooking, cleaning, and caring for elders.

Taylor was predeceased by her Grandmother’s family: Great-Grandparents, Ada and Dan Weasel Moccasin; Great-Aunties Eleanor, Martina, Julieanna, Joanne, and Alva; Great-Uncles Cordell and Daniel. She is also predeceased by her Grandfather’s family: Great-Grandparents, Jack and Margaret Many Bears; Great-Uncles Bruno and Thomas; and Great-Aunties Justine and Ann.

Although Taylor was with us for a short time, her laughter, kindness, and spirit left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of her family and all who loved her.

A Wake Service will be held at 5-9 PM on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Old Agency Hall, Blood Reserve.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception RC Church, Blood Reserve. Interment will follow at One Spot Cemetery, Blood Reserve.
