MR. DONALD ""DON"" HENRY MANTLER of Coaldale, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the age of 58 years. Don, son of Susie Mantler Dyck and Abe Henry Mantler, was born and raised in Coaldale, Alberta by his loving mother and step-father Jake Dyck. Don loved the outdoors and was always an avid hunter. In Don's earlier years he enjoyed camping and riding dirt bikes. After his accident in the fall of 1981, which resulted in Don becoming a quadriplegic, he kept busy listening to music and coaching the Van Rijn mixed slow pitch team. In the most recent years, Don occupied his time tending to his flowers, playing various computer games and spreading many funny emails.

Don is survived by his two daughters Roxann (Dave) Fontaine, DJ Mantler; grandsons Brok, Quinn, Justin; mother Susie Dyck; step-father Jake Dyck; sister Bertha (Dante) Ferraiuolo; brother Dr. Jason (Julie-Anne) Dyck; niece Marissa Ferraiuolo; as well as nephews Jared, Lethighton and Grady Dyck.

Don was predeceased by his father Abe Henry Mantler.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St., S., Lethbridge, AB with Valerie Martell-Kostiuk, officiating.

A Reception in Don's honour will be held at the COALDALE MENNONITE BRETHREN CHURCH, 2114 - 18 St., Coaldale, AB.
