Mr. Leonard Kuhn, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Olga Kuhn passed away after a lengthy illness at Good Samaritan West Highland on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at the age of 88 years.

Born in Josefstal Ukraine on July 23, 1936, he emigrated to Canada along with his mother and settled in Southern Alberta.

He enjoyed the outdoors, often hunting and fishing in the local areas, and camping with his friends. He was also a member of the German Canadian Club, the choir, and the shooting Club.

He purchased property on Mayne Island, British Columbia, and enjoyed traveling there, building a home which he shared with family and friends.

In 2005, Olga succumbed to cancer and Leonard was a bit lost without her but kept busy with his political interests and family history/genealogy pursuits.

He was fortunate enough to connect with Erica who provided him with much apricated love and companionship. They shared two good years before Leonard’s health took a turn, and Erica was always there for him.

Leonard is survived by his sons Martin (Dennie), and Victor (Denise), and grandson Avery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Alberta.

A come and go Reception will be held at 12:00 pm, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 – 4 STREET SOUTH, Lethbridge, Alberta.

A private family Interment will be held prior in the Mountain View Cemetery.
