Albert`s passion for learning led him to stay current on society, church, politics and farming and also compelled him to make verbal and written comment when ""needed"". Albert loved meeting people and impacted many from all walks of life. Albert`s keen sense of ""what`s right"" was balanced by a generosity to community members and those in need.
Albert served on Council and Boards at the Iron Springs CRC, Immanuel Christian School and on various farm and commodity groups. He travelled the province in the early sixties to help set up poultry and dairy Supply Management boards.
At age 60, Albert completed a chaplaincy course in Palliative Care and he found satisfaction in comforting many in their last days. He also achieved his lifelong dream of flying by earning his pilot`s license in that same year. He spent many hours up in his ""bird"" both alone and with friends of all ages over the past 12 years.
Friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm on Wednesday December 1, 2010 at the IRON SPRINGS CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH.
