Kathleen Elizabeth Jones, beloved wife of the late Edmond Jones, passed away peacefully, on June 12, 2009 in Picture Butte, AB at the age of 85 years.

She is survived by her sons; Dwayne (Wendy) and Bryan (Shirley); grandchildren; Leanne (Craig) Sosick, Cari, Bryson, Colleen, Jennifer (John) Krahn and Heather (Cory) Gillespie along with 11 wonderful great-grandchildren, and her sisters; Maggie Goff, Mary Lehto, and Myrtle Romaniuk.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Elizabeth Sauer, as well as five brothers and one sister.

Grandma was born November 24, 1923 in Medicine Hat, AB. Grandma was an extremely hard worker and always took great pride in her house, yard and family.

Grandma was a straight shooter and you always knew where you stood with her. We all experienced unique relationships with grandma and are thankful for all the great memories we share.

Grandma had a wonderful life and we could not have asked for a better wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt or friend.

The happy smile of new life has ended
The sweet smell of youth has faded
The journey of being born
To tears of mourning
Is now complete
With no memories to delete
Your life was composed of empathy
And compassion
Cookies and Christmas lights.
This gentle legacy will continue
in your name
We thank you for everything
We know you will continue watching over us
Your spirit is in us, it will live on
And in turn, it will be carried on.
We love you Grandma and will miss you greatly
But we know that you are in a much happier
Place now, in no pain.
You are peacefully resting
And chattin' with grandpa
