It has pleased the Lord to take Jurjen Jagersma to his eternal home. He was the loving husband of Gail Jagersma; father of Julius (Hetty); father of Ken (Brenda) and Joyce. He was the grandfather of Tyson, Ian, Mackenzie and Megan.

Jurjen was born in Wouterswoude, The Netherlands on August 29, 1931. He was the youngest of six children, growing up in Friesland during WWII. Jurjen was predeceased by his parents, Thijs and Jitske Jagersma (nee Raap), two brothers and two sisters. His one remaining sister is Jantje Wierenga who he remained in close contact with until he passed to glory.

On March 4, 1954 Jurjen immigrated to Canada where he met Gail (Kok) his wife of 62 years. Jurjen worked hard all his life at various jobs such as drywall contractor, building contractor and truck driver. Jurjen struggled for many years with various health issues.

Through all this, he remained faithful to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. The Lord took him home to glory at the Coaldale Health Centre with family at his side on July 4th, 2018. We will miss him greatly but are relieved that not only is his suffering over, but he is more alive and well than he has ever been with his eldest brother, Jesus.

A Memorial Service will take place at 2:00pm on Monday, July 9, 2018 at TRINITY UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, 1100-40 Avenue North, Lethbridge, Alberta.
