We mourn the sudden loss of LAWRENCE ""LARRY"" HOPKINS who was taken on March 12, 2007 at the age of 52 years.

A wonderful husband and soul mate of 31 years to Emma Hopkins; devoted father to Ray (Chelsea) Hopkins, Amanda (Darrell) Beddome, Alisson (Travis) Todd; loving grandfather to Emma and Ava Hopkins, Tristan, Tyson and Tapanga Beddome, Payton and Jordan Todd; dear friend to his siblings Deborah (Kurt) Butler, (Orla Mortensen), Connie (Rob) Zucchelli, Dean (Laura) Hopkins; fun loving uncle to Chris (Jess), Cory and Karen Mortensen, Tracey and Caitlin Zucchelli, Mark and Sabrina Hopkins.

Larry was predeceased by his loving parents Ray and Thelma Hopkins.

Larry was born in Calgary, AB on April 9, 1954. He started his career in Camrose, AB in 1975. In 1976 he moved to Taber with his young family in tow. In 1978 the family then moved to Lethbridge, where Larry stayed to retire with 25 years of police service in 2000.

Larry's passion for helping people could not be curbed by his retirement and busy family schedule. He appreciated being able to work with Guardian Alarms, Lethbridge Family Services and his own personal enterprises on the side. Larry enjoyed and was kept busy with his 7 grandchildren and close family. His new love of horse back riding with Emma on his trusty horse Barney was an interest he shared with all. Larry's beautiful smile, generous spirit and sharp sense of humor will be terribly missed by his family, friends and colleagues from all around Southern Alberta.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00PM and 8:00PM on Friday, March 16, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 St. South, Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH, 1011 - 4 Ave South, Lethbridge, AB, with Reverend Larry D. Hankinson officiating.
