It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of David K. Hofer at 74 years, loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.

David was born September 27, 1946 in Cranford, Alberta to David and Maria. At 26 years of age David got elected as hog manager. One year later he married the love of his life Kathryn Stahl from Starland, Alberta. In 1993 David moved to Hillridge, Alberta and got elected farm boss.

For 21 years he put in all his effort in the work he was doing, making hay was his passion of all farm work. In 2008 Dave was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. He suffered in silence and would never complain. David was a wonderful example to the younger people and believed in hard work.

He is survived by his loving wife Kathryn; sons Albert (Judy) Stanley (Esther), Levi (Becky), Mathew (Elsie) all of Hillridge; daughters Cathy (Ben) of Hillridge; Lillian (Sam) of Little Bow. He was blessed with 18 grandchildren whom were his pride and joy; brothers Rev. Peter (Maria), Paul (Martha), George (Bertha) all of Hillridge as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
