Shirley Henrickson
Official Obituary of
22/2/1936 - to - 11/3/2012
SHIRLEY HENRICKSON of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Maurice Henrickson, passed away after a lengthy illness on March 11, 2012 at the age of 76 years.
Shirley was the fourth child born to John and Alma Lynch on February 22, 1936 in Vulcan, Alberta. She was raised on the farm at Lomond, raised her family there and lived there until November 2008. She was a farm wife who milked cows, fed chickens, slopped the hogs and drove grain truck. Anything she put her mind to doing she could do. She loved to sew and did so all her adult life. Sewing enthusiasts have a saying, ""She who dies with the most material, wins."" That would be Mom. Shirley volunteered for many community causes over the years with Adult Learning in the Vulcan County.
Besides her loving husband Maurice, of 53 years, Shirley is survived by her daughter Danita (Jerry) Stokes, her grandchildren; Tammy (Ramie) Paskuski, Clayton Stokes, and her great-grandson Hayden Stokes. She is also survived by her sister Yvonne West, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Besides her first husband Dale Root, she was predeceased by her parents John and Alma Lynch, her brother John Burnell Lynch, and sister Joyce Sihlis.
A private family remembrance will be held.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 1A129, 960 - 19th Street South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 1W5.
