Bengt Hansen

1925 ~ 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce that Bengt Hansen, beloved husband of Alma Hansen passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at the age of 91 years old, at West Highlands Centre Assisted Living.

Bengt was raised and lived most of his life in his beloved Denmark. He worked for the same company (FDB) for 50 years before retiring in 1988. Bengt fondly remembered his childhood and he had many fond memories of his home with family, friends, and co-workers.

At 67, he moved to Canada with his wife and son where his daughter and grandchildren reside. Bengt loved being in Canada with his wife, children and grandchildren. Bengt and Alma developed new friendships in Canada and loved the outdoors and the many trips to Waterton Park.

Bengt is survived by his wife Alma; son Niels (Liliane); daughter Lis (Jaques); three grandchildren, Thomas (Christyn), Anita (Wade) and Brian (Gina); four great grandchildren Sydney, Gavin, Nolan and Madison; as well as his beloved brothers in Demark, Paul Erik (Kirsten), Ib (Ingrid) and Niels Jorgen (Erica) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bengt received excellent care the last year of his life through The Good Samaritans Society which we are very grateful for.
