On February 13, 2022,  Heaven was blessed with the arrival of a true angel – our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and loyal friend, Donna Marie Gray.

Born on August 28, 1933,  Mom was raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, along with her older sister Mona. She was predeceased by her parents Tom and Chris Harris and her sister Mona. Donna is survived by her loving husband of fifty-one years, Jerry Gray; three daughters, Darla (Stan) Young, Terri (Brian) Fiedler, and Shelley Soucy. She will be forever missed by her grandchildren, Jason and David Fiedler, Michael and Chantal Soucy, and her great grandchildren Jameson and Lacey Mae Meeches.

 In her younger years, and in keeping with her fun and adventurous spirit, Mom enjoyed the Powder Puff Derby and roller-skating. Her love for people, sense of humour and gentle nature made it easy for her to make friends quickly. Mom loved to sit next to anyone and know their life story within minutes. She was a great listener. These qualities were evident through her life.

Donna met her soulmate Jerry and they were married October 9, 1970 in Shelby, Montana. They travelled to Las Vegas many times over the years, building memories and sharing laughs. Mom and Dad were incredible gardeners, and their yard and flower beds were the envy of many. Mom dearly loved music, especially Johnny Cash. Johnny Reid, Gregory Jones and Rock and Roll from the 50’s onwards.

Family and friends were the most important things to Mom. She loved and treasured us, and her best friend Bev Erlendson dearly. Mom and Bev were the best of friends and were nearly inseparable over their 30-year friendship.

Mom’s grace and compassion touched more people than we will ever know. We are grateful for her unconditional love she so freely gave us. She will live in our hearts forever.

Donna will be privately remembered by her family and friends.
