Margaret Enns

Official Obituary of

28/9/1963 - to - 14/2/2009

MISS MARGARET ENNS, beloved daughter of Jakob and Kathe Enns, sister to Irene, nephew Nathan, Hans (Lindy), Peter (Anne) and nephew Luke, passed away very suddenly on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the age of 45 years.

She was the sunshine of our home. Everything we did we had to plan around her; she had an amazing memory for birthdays and anniversaries etc, etc. She inspired us all to do better. She was a very loving girl, who liked to give hugs. She loved all of her family, but was especially fond of her sister Irene and brother Peter. She loved to visit Hans and Lindy, but did not like the dog and cat they have.

She was baptized in the Mennonite Church and was very proud to be a member. Pastor Peter Funk made her an usherette to greeting people and handing out bulletins. She was very active in the Special Olympics, swimming and bowling. She has many trophies and medals to show for her efforts and love of sports. Many rewards issued to her for this. The last reward she received for 25 years of faithful services at the Rehabilitation Centre, she received a beautiful plaque for this accomplishment. She loved to sing especially at Christmas. She was very sad that she could not attend the Friedenfuerst this last Christmas as she broke her leg on the 16th of December and was laid up until her passing on the 14th of February. She lived with 3 families before she found her home for the last 9 years at Trevor and Carol's family home.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her Mom and Dad (Katherina and Jakob), sister Irene, brothers Hans and Peter, aunt Annie in Saskatoon and aunt Tina in Ontario, uncle Jake in Ontario, uncle Joseph in Germany; as well as many cousins in all of Canada and Germany.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the Coaldale Mennonite Church, 2316 - 17 Street, with Reverend Manfred Boller and Reverend George Klassen officiating. Interment to follow in the Coaldale Cemetery, Mennonite Section with Reverend Gerald Klassen officiating.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial donations to the Special Olympics or to the Mennonite Central Committee.
