ANNIE ELASCHUK passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the age of 100 years.

Annie was born in Lethbridge on October 15, 1910 to John and Daisy Romanchuk. She is survived by her sisters Eva Porter of Vancouver, Veronica (Alex) Uhryn of Lethbridge, Lillian (Steve) Shimek of Lethbridge; brothers Bill Romanchuk of Lethbridge, John (Lillian) Romanchuk of Calgary; sisters-in-law Annie Stronski of Lethbridge, Esther Romanchuk of Lethbridge, Victoria Franks of the United States; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Annie was a wonderful sister and sister-in-law, and a very special aunt. She was a great homemaker and a very good cook. Annie and her husband Bill farmed for many years after which they retired and moved to Lethbridge. They loved to travel, camp and fish.

Annie was predeceased by her loving husband William ""Bill"" of 66 years; her parents; and her brothers Fred, Nick, Mike, Alex and Andy.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, on Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at the MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.

Annie's family would like to acknowledge the loving care that she received at the Chinook Regional Hospital and at St. Therese Villa.
