RANDALL WAYNE EBBERT
Randall Wayne Ebbert of Lethbridge, passed away on June 18, 2012 at the age of 55 years.
Randy was born and grew up in Lethbridge, Alberta. He attended Senator Buchanan, Wilson Jr. High and Winston Churchill High School.
In his early working years he followed in his grandpa Carl's footsteps and worked in security, patrolling Lethbridge's buildings, hospitals and parks, making them safe and enjoyable for others. He was always interested in food and worked in the food industry for the last 15 years. While he never officially became the chef that he may have dreamed of becoming, we will remember the great soups and salads, lasagna and turkeys that he prepared for family gatherings.
Whether it was sound systems, satellite TV, computers, cameras or cell phones, Randy was on the leading edge. We will always remember him for his passion for all things electronic (and the wires that connected them together). He was an avid sports fan, and spent many hours watching his chosen teams.
All who knew Randy will remember his cheerful smile, kind heart and sense of humour. He enjoyed a good joke and was quick to join in playing pranks on others.
Randy was a devoted son and grandson and dedicated many years of his life to helping others. As his grandpa and parents aged, he was always there to visit, listen, chauffer and cook whenever needed. If help was needed, Randy would never say no. You could always count on him.
Randy leaves behind his Dad Conner Ebbert (close friend, Joyce Owen); his brother Dale Ebbert (Jan); his sister Cyndie (Hart) Britton; his nieces and nephews Kirsten and Spencer Ebbert and Carli (Mike) Rodger and Mackenzie Hart; great niece and nephew Siri and Maven Rodger; caring uncles, aunts, cousins and many thoughtful friends and coworkers. He was predeceased by his Mom June Ebbert and his Grandpa Carl Ramstead.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the LUTHERAN CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD, 2406 - 11 Avenue South, Lethbridge, Alberta, with Pastor Jason Anderson officiating. Inurnment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 317 -10 Street South, Lethbridge, AB T1J 9Z9.
