TERESA (TERRI) SIU FUNG DONG of Lethbridge, beloved wife of Ron JL Dong, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2012 at the age of 62 years. With determination and courage she bravely fought breast cancer for 15 years. Teresa accepted life as it was. She appreciated each new day as a plus and truly enjoyed life to the fullest all the way to the end.

Teresa enjoyed cooking and the finer pleasures of good food. She spent much of her vacation time travelling to visit friends and family while also indulging in the world of tastes. Teresa also loved to have fun; she could often be caught singing and dancing whether that be at a party, on a dance floor or in her own kitchen.

Teresa was born and raised in Hong Kong. She moved to Canada in 1973 and settled in Lethbridge where she married her devoted husband, Ron, and started their family.

Teresa was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. With pride and devotion she tirelessly worked and raised two daughters and continued on to provide much support raising her grandchildren.

Terri was also a dedicated staff member of the Regent Restaurant establishment. She worked there from the very first day its doors opened in 1986.

Besides her loving husband Ron, Teresa is survived by her mother, Chan Fung Kuen, daughters: Joyce (Ming) Lam, and Bonnie Dong (Jason Grant), grandchildren: Kyra and Alex Lam, Maxwell and baby boy Grant, sisters: Yuk Ying, Janet (Ming) Chan, brothers: Alex (Jennifer) Po and Adam (Candy) Po, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Teresa was predeceased by her father Po Wo Gun, sister Fung Ying Mak and brother-in-law G-Doug Mak.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 6:00pm and 8:00pm on Friday, May 18th, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 4th Street South, Lethbridge.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, May 19th, 2012 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
