Kevin Patrick Donahue

Official Obituary of

11/7/1977 - to - 7/12/2023

It is with much sadness that the family of Kevin Donahue announce his sudden passing on Thursday December 7, 2023, at the age of 46.

Kevin is survived by his wife Sabrina (O’Leary) and children Findley and Reagan, whom he adored. He is also survived by his parents Carroll and Margaret (Foley) Donahue, sister Dawn Donahue, sister-in-law Natalie, niece Kate and nephew Nolan. He was a beloved nephew, son-in-law and brother-in-law. He was predeceased by his brother Shawn Donahue.

He had a wicked sense of humor, and from a young age loved to tease – a trait he has passed down to Findley! His children were everything to him. He would proudly tell you all about them, how hockey was going for Findley, or curling and piano for Reagan. He was active in all school activities and would often join the FLVT Marathon Club for practice on the mornings that he wasn’t working. He joined Snapchat in order to be “cool” at work and home…. his kids may not have agreed that this was a success for him! He loved being outside whether that was in the backyard with his family, walking and biking in the coulees or a last-minute trip to the Mountains for a hike and fresh air. Kevin proudly crossed the finish line at his first half marathon in September 2023. Kevin and Sabrina had a retirement goal of a small A-Frame in The Pass that they would talk about at length. Their love story started as a “blind meet” and quickly became a love story that would carry them through their years together.

He loved Harley’s – something that was a shared passion with his dad and his brother. Sabrina would hear him talk to one of them, or sometimes both, for hours about bikes. He loved to sing and play guitar, a quiet voice until you placed a guitar in his hands. For those that grew up with him, or hung out with him, a guitar was often placed in his vicinity at get togethers and he would entertain for hours.

He loved fiercely and was a friend you could count on to help you at a moment’s notice. To those that had the privilege of calling him a friend, they knew that he was solid and would be there for them always.

He was a proud Irving employee for almost 20 years and called Cavendish Farms home for the past 5 of those. He loved his work family and talked of them with great respect. He was a proud Power Engineer and loved wearing his “green hat”.

Kevin was a man of strong faith who worked hard, was a good friend, and loved his family. To have had him in your life was a privilege and a blessing. We thank God for everyday that we were able to share life on earth with him and will miss and love him forever.
