Annie Danyluk
1924 ~ 2017
It is with sadness and gentle relief that the family of Annie Danyluk announce her passing on April 25th after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer’s.
Annie was born in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Canada with her family as a young teen. In 1956 Annie married William (Bill) Yalowega and they raised their family and farmed in the Iron Springs area for many years. Mom’s years on the farm included hoeing sugar beets, taking care of a huge garden, raising her children, cooking and baking, along with community and church involvement.
Ten years after Bill’s passing, mom met and married (1977) Eugene Danyluk and moved to Lethbridge. Gardening and plants continued to be a passion of moms along with camping, travelling, playing cards, dancing and welcoming family and friends into her home.
Annie is survived by her 3 daughters; Gladys, Jayne (Colin), Sandra (Bob); 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister Teresa and extended family members.
Mom was predeceased by her husbands Bill and Eugene, son Nick, 3 sisters and 2 sons-in-law’s.
A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at PARK MEADOWS BAPTIST CHURCH, 2011 – 15 Avenue N, Lethbridge, AB with Pastor Lorne officiating. Interment to follow at Archmount Cemetery.
