Lynn Crosby

Official Obituary of

27/3/1946 - to - 22/7/2007

March 27, 1946 ~ July 22, 2007

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Lynn Crosby (nee Herbert) on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at her home in Lethbridge at the age of 61 years.

Lynn was born in Edmonton and as a young teenager moved in with her family to Stettler. Upon her return to Edmonton she completed her formal training at McTavish Business College and spent a number of years working for the CNR. After leaving the CNR she spent a short period of time as a Real Estate Agent and then moved on to become a successful high end furniture salesperson.

Her greatest joys were raising her daughter Carey and her love of dancing. She was a member of Shirl's Girls and then later she founded the Gold Dust Dancers.

After marrying Russell Crosby a great deal of their time was spent traveling. The highlights being the times they spent in Arizona and the number of years they spent in Saudi Arabia with side trips to Thailand, Egypt, Italy and Cyprus.

Lynn will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Besides her best friend and loving husband Russell, Lynn is survived by her daughter Carey (Phil) Cooley of Phoenix; her granddaughter Hunter Cooley; her brother Dean (Patti) Herbert; niece Brenna Herbert; nephew Zachary Herbert of Calgary; and her father Doug Herbert of Stettler.

A special thanks to Dr. Steele, Dr. Gomes, and Dr. Li, the staff at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital, the Palliative Care Team of Chirs, Carla, Le Ann and Marion as well as Sabrina, Janele and Lexie, and the fantastic Home Care Group from LFS.

As an expression of sympathy a memorial contribution may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

""God saw you getting weary
So he did what he thought best
He came and stood beside you
And whispered, ""Come and Rest""
Our hearts still ache with sadness
And secret tears we flow,
For what it meant to lose you
No one will ever know""
-Always loved, forever missed
