ALLEN HOWARD COBLER beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away quietly on Monday, May 7, 2007 after a lengthy illness, at the age of 83 years.

Allen was born in Swift Current, SK on November 14, 1923 and raised on a farm outside of Stewart Valley, SK. Allen joined the Seaforth Highlander Regiment as a motor transport driver and served with distinction during Allied action in Italy, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. After the war Allen returned to Canada and keeping with his new found love of automotives became a body shop man and later a mechanic. On June 21, 1946 Allen married Mary Unrau and together they raised five children.

He is survived by his wife Mary; sons Brian, Terry (Joan), Harvey (Susan), Ken (Bev); daughter Marcia (Dean); eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; as well as brothers Myron (Betty) and Norman.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects between 7:00PM and 8:00PM on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street South, Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, May 11, 2007 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, with Reverend Larry D. Hankinson officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
