Astrid Christensen, beloved wife of the late Henning Bruun Christensen passed away peacefully Monday, April 10, 2023, at the Chinook Regional Hospital. 

Astrid was born March 20, 1940, in Odense, Denmark. Astrid and Henning Immigrated to Iron Springs in 1965 with their sons, Soren and Hans. She farmed side by side with her husband Henning in Iron Springs for over 50 years.  They were a true team with Astrid involved in all aspects of the farm. Astrid was one of few ladies that drove beet trucks to the sugar factory. She only used high gear, full speed ahead.

She is survived by son - Soren (MaryAnne) Christensen, their children Shane (Melissa) Jase and Mila, Sondra (Waylon) Reklon, Meika and Tinsley, Jamie (Jordana) Isabelle and Violet. 

Son - Hans (Lucie) Christensen and their children, Ashley, Kira (Brad) Kayleigh, Adam (Aimee)Nixon, and Jason.

She was predeceased by her husband Henning in March 2018.

Astrids’ grandchildren and great grandchildren were very important to her, and each held a special place in her heart. She cherished her visits with them, creating wonderful memories and passing on family traditions.

 Astrid was an amazing cook and baker, skills she started at age 14 and developed into an art over the years. She lovingly shared her delicious creations with her family and friends. 

 Mom has requested that she be remembered privately by her family and friends.
