Colleen Carter

1951 ~ 2015

Colleen left our world to be with the Lord on May the 7th, 2015. She died suddenly and was surrounded by her husband and loving family. Colleen was 64 years of age.

Colleen was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta on January 15, 1951. She was the 4th child of Jack and Dollie Foster. Colleen was a sunny and happy little girl right from the beginning. Her blonde hair, beautiful blue eyes and fabulous smile got her just about anything she wanted! Colleen never needed much to make her happy. She spent many hours in her lovely backyard garden planting and weeding her beautiful flowers. She spent many happy days playing with her 9 grandkids and was happily waiting for her newest member of the clan from her oldest son Christopher Candice). Colleen was a dreamweaver and always shared her fascinating stories to her adoring grandchildren and anyone else who were sharing her magical garden. Colleens heart was filled with love and truly loved to help other people in need.

Colleen married her first husband George Hildebrandt and they had 3 beautiful and loving children Charity Malarchuk, Christopher Hildebrandt and Candice Becker. Colleen married Robert Williams and they had one child together, Robert (Bobby) Williams. Colleen and Robert moved to Ireland with all of her children and lived there for approximately 2 years, where she opened a thriving denture clinic. In the last part of Colleen’s life, she re-married her current husband Donald Carter in 2008. Together they shared their lovely home and camped and fished together every summer with their dog Moose.

Colleen was predeceased by her father, Jack Foster, her mother Dollie Foster (Haczkewicz), a niece Cindy Foster, a husband Gary Bird.

Colleen is survived by her husband, Donald Carter, her children Charity Malarchuk (Chad) and their children, Dylan, Madison and Caitlyn. Christopher Hildebrandt (Candice) and their baby girl (Holly Colleen) who is yet to be born, Candice Becker (Ken) and their children Autumn, Sophia and Jack, Robert Williams (Nicole) and their children Zachary, Alexander, and Katherine. She is also survived by her brother Lyndon (Joan) Foster , sister Betty(Brian) Jackson, sister Mavis Bernhardt , sister Joan(Herb) Culler. Colleen has numerous nieces and nephews who she loved dearly!

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4 St. S., Lethbridge, AB.
