ELLA ALVILDE CARROLL of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Peter Richard Carroll, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2009 at the age of 91 years.

Ella is survived by her daughters Grace (Bill) Ricketts and Emilie Dubeau; devoted grandmother to Joanne Ponton, Dana Jordan, Christine (Milton) Kiehlbauch, Leanne Murray, Scott Murray; great-grandmother to Trevor Ponton, Derek Ponton; great-great-grandmother to Zachary Ponton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Besides her loving husband Peter, Ella was predeceased by her parents John and Gudrid Kvamme; siblings Ole, Alfred (Elva), Gunhild (Bert), Thelma (Harold), Rose (Lloyd), Clarence, Clarice (Benny), Elsie (Chester) and Glenn (Jo).

Ella was born on March 26, 1917 in Viceroy, SK and married Peter in 1938. Ella and Peter farmed for 25 years in the Verwood District and lived in Verwood and Viceroy, SK. In 1960 they moved to Regina and in 1969 to Lethbridge, where they retired. Ella excelled at homemaking, handcrafts and gardening. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Auxiliaries in Verwood and Viceroy, also singing in the Church Choirs. Ella and Peter loved RVing and travelling with friends and family.

Ella was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We will sadly miss her and forever cherish our memories of her.

Family and Friends are invited to pay their respects between 1 PM and 2PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at MARTIN BROS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., Lethbridge, AB.

A Funeral Service will follow at 2PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at MARTIN BROS. RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610-4th St. S., with Pastor Brian Magee, officiating. Interment to follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
