LYDIA CARMEN

1928 ~ 2017

Ms. Lydia Carmen of Lethbridge, beloved mother of Rose Gray and Marlene Wisniewski, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at the age of 89 years.

Mom was born April 2, 1928 in the Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in June of 1948.

She loved to cook, and her passion was her flowers, her yard full of flowers and her house. She always had small dogs, especially Pomeranians who were her babies. When she retired she travelled and she enjoyed fishing.

She will be sadly missed by all, we love you Mom.

Besides her loving daughters Rose and Marlene, Lydia is survived by her siblings Donna (Doug) Burrows and Nina (Brian) Humphries and sister-in-law, Mary Kowal, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lydia was predeceased by her parents John and Fedorea Kowal; brothers Nick, John and Alex as well as her beloved granddaughter Carrie and nephew David Kowal.

A Vigil Rites (Prayer Service) will be held at 7:00pm on Friday, December 29, 2017 at the HOLY TRINITY ORTHODOX CHURCH, 643 - 13 Street N., Lethbridge, Alberta.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the MARTIN BROTHERS RIVERVIEW CHAPEL, 610 - 4 Street S., Lethbridge, Alberta. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery.
