JOHN THOMAS BROTHERWOOD of Milk River, AB, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2007 in Lethbridge.

John attended school in Armada and lived on the farm until 1942 when he then joined the Armed Forces and served for 4 years, in Canada. John married Jean Bray in 1944. John then went to work for Canadian Pacific Railway in 1947 where he worked for 14 years within Alberta and Saskatchewan. They then moved to Lethbridge in 1958 where he worked for Henderson Lake Golf Course for 10 summers and the Lethbridge Curling Club for 10 winters. He then moved to Milk River where he was the Assistant Manager of the Roberts Hotel for 5 years. Where he met and married Esther Spence. They then moved back to Lethbridge where he was the Assistant/Manager of the Bridge Town House Motel for 4 years. He retired to Milk River in 1979. John was a member of the Foremost Legion #225 for 35 years.

John is survived by his two sons Ernie (Trena), Herb (Heather); three daughters Norma (Gerry) Todd, Madge Brotherwood, Anna (Dave) Williams of Truro, N.S.; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Besides his wife Esther, John was predeceased by his parents George and Hazel; brother Bert and sister Helen Pearson.

Family and Friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, September 24, 2007 at the MILK RIVER CEMETERY, Milk River, AB.
